Askew is going into our third year of business, and with that, we’ve found we have completely outgrown our website. As our business has grown, we’ve found the way that we initially set up our ‘work’ gallery isn’t ideal for how we would like to present our projects and clients. As we have more and more work to display, it’s time to reconsider how we show it off. When was the last time you looked at how your website is working for your business?
Here are three important things to consider when analyzing if your site is functioning at its best:
- What is the main purpose of your website? What is the first thing you want people to do when they visit? Has this changed since you had your website built? If so, maybe it’s time to think about whether your main message is getting through to your users.
- How much has your business grown since your website was set up? Is the site still the appropriate size to keep up with the growth of your business? The content on your site should be easy to find and read. If your site isn’t set up to fit the amount of content that you have, it’s easy for some things to get lost through cumbersome navigation.
- Is the website still easy to update? If your business is steadily growing, chances are there isn’t much time to be spent on updating your site. It’s important to keep the content current, and if it’s too time-consuming to do this, it may be time to think about whether this is a good design for you.
Stay tuned for the brand new design of our website! We hope you’re as excited as we are!
